Eco-walks in Volperino, Foligno (PG) in Italy

On 27 May 2023 Travelogue APS carried out an eco-walk involving students and teachers of classes III of the “Federico Frezzi-Beata Angela” Classical Linguistic and Social Sciences Lyceum in Foligno, with departure and return in the village of Volperino (Foligno, PG). The event was organized and carried out in collaboration with the G.M.P. GAIA APS association, as part of a PON project on ecological transition. The event was led by an environmental hiking guide from the G.M.P. GAIA APS association and the Travelogue APS volunteers, providing naturalistic and cultural information on the route and with a focus on the ecological transition and the use of renewable energy sources, with a photovoltaic system and a wind farm being clearly visible from the route. After a presentation of the project and the opportunities of the Erasmus+ program and a session on the ecological transition, participants were provided with the behavioural rules to respect when practicing outdoor activities. During the walk all participants were also invited to collect waste along the route, providing them with bags, gloves and tongs.
