Training Course in the village of Rastiste within Tara National Park
On 4th of July 2023 Ecowalk was organized by Mountenirng association Tara as a part of Eco walks project co-founded by European Union. Twenty participants, majority members of Youth Office Bajina Basta have walked the the trail located in the north-western part of Tara National Park up to the necropolis Mramorje in Rastiste. The trail starts and ends at the Rastište mountain lodge in the hamlet of Sedaljka. The stecak tombstones in Rastiste are part of the UNESCO World Heritage list With their specific design and me of origin, they provide a historical context and supplement the already existing knowledge of medieval history, so it is important to continue conservation, archaeological works and tourism promotion.
