Waste generation and management- Sustainability
Activity: Identify which items cannot be recycled!
- Familiarize yourself with the color-coding system for waste bins in your area/county as ir might slightly varie between countries.
- Create a list of commonly found items in a household and categorize them into the appropriate waste bins based on the color-coding system.
- Identify items that cannot be recycled and should not be placed in any of the recycling bins. Some common examples are:
* Styrofoam containers
* Plastic bags
* Disposable diapers
* Broken glass - Write a short guide or create an infographic to summarize the information from steps 2 and 3. Include the proper waste bin color, examples of items that belong in each bin, and a clear list of items that should not be recycled.
- Share your guide or infographic with your family, friends, or classmates to raise awareness about proper waste sorting. Encourage them to follow the guidelines and ask any questions they may have
